Your Body, Your Routine: a calmer way to explore the research
A new way to follow your curiosity — from a part of the body to the everyday exposures researchers have looked at — without fear or false promises.
What “Your Body, Your Routine” is
Your Body, Your Routine is a new educational section you can explore in the Micro Detox web app. Instead of starting from a chemical, you start from a part of the body or a common everyday concern, and see what the research has examined — and what it has not.
Each entry is written the way the rest of Micro Detox is: hedged, source-linked, and honest about uncertainty. It uses language like “associated with” and “some studies have found”, and it names its sources. It does not diagnose anything, and it never claims a product or routine removes anything from your body.
How it reads
Pick an organ or a familiar concern and you will find a short, plain-language summary, what researchers have and have not established, where the everyday exposure tends to come from, and small, practical steps to lower avoidable exposure.
- Plain-language summaries first — the science is there if you want it, never forced on you.
- Clear carve-outs where they matter — for example, keep using fluoride toothpaste, and never stop using sunscreen (mineral options exist).
- Every claim points to a named source, and uncertainty is stated plainly.
- Practical “what helps” steps framed as reducing avoidable exposure, not as treatment.
This section is for understanding and curiosity. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. If you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or managing symptoms, speak with a qualified health professional.
Why we built it this way
People do not usually think in chemical names. They think “I get headaches”, or they wonder about a particular part of the body. Starting there makes the information easier to find — but it also makes careful wording more important, not less.
So the bar is deliberately high. Contested or sensational framings are left out. Where the evidence is early or mixed, we say so. The goal is a calmer, more honest picture, not a scarier one.
Try it in your browser
Your Body, Your Routine is available now to explore free in the Micro Detox web app — no account, no install. Open the app, go to Learn, and look for “Your Body, Your Routine”. We would genuinely love your feedback on whether it feels calm, clear, and trustworthy.
Your one small step
Open the web app, pick the part of the body or concern you are most curious about, and read just that one entry — including its sources. Notice how it stays with “associated with”, never “causes”.
Common questions
Does this section say everyday chemicals harm my organs?
No. It summarises what studies have examined and is careful to separate association from cause. Where the evidence is limited or mixed, it says so plainly.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is educational. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure anything, and it points you to a qualified health professional for anything personal.
Where can I see the sources?
Every entry lists its references, and you can follow them yourself. Showing our sources is part of how Micro Detox works.
