Everything Micro Detox does
A calm, evidence-informed guide to lowering avoidable everyday exposure. Free to read in your browser, and a paid download on iPhone and Android for the parts that remember what you did.
Seven languages, all the way down
English, Hindi, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French and Arabic. Not just the buttons: every chemical, material, label and product guide, all 136 tips, all 208 swaps, the 16 questions on each page, the did-you-know facts and the body pages.
Hindi renders in Devanagari, Punjabi in Gurmukhi, Chinese in simplified characters and Arabic in its own script, each with the type bundled for that script rather than left to whatever the phone falls back to. Spanish and French share the Latin alphabet, so they read in the same type as English. The brand name keeps its Latin spelling throughout, so the app is still recognisable in a screenshot.
Arabic reads right to left, and the app turns around to meet it: the layout mirrors, and the directional arrows are flipped so a "next" chevron still points the way you are going. The ticks, plus signs and dropdown chevrons stay as they are, because mirroring those would change nothing a reader can see.
You pick a language on the very first screen and can change it any time in Settings. All seven ship inside the download, so switching works with the phone in flight mode.
Your Body, Your Routine
Twelve body systems and ten everyday problems. Each page answers the same four questions: what has actually been detected here, what research is still exploring, the everyday routes in, and what some people find helps.
Browse the body systems by tapping a marker on a figure, or start from a problem you have noticed, like headaches, rashes or eye and nose irritation. Each claim carries a strength tag, so you can see whether it is well established, still emerging, or resting on limited evidence, before you decide what to do with it.
Where a protective habit matters, the page says so plainly: keep using sunscreen, keep using fluoride toothpaste, keep taking what a professional prescribed. This is education about lowering avoidable exposure. It is not a scan of your body, not a diagnosis and not a treatment.
A library worth reading
41 chemical groups, 38 materials, 38 label claims and 110 product entries. Each guide opens with a plain-language summary, then a set of quick facts, then sixteen questions people actually ask.
Everything cross-links. A material page points at the chemicals commonly associated with it, which point at the products they turn up in, which point back at the swaps. Nothing is a dead end.
Sources are shown, not implied. An audit against source metadata found 58 references that pointed at a real paper about something else entirely; those are gone, and only verified sources are displayed.
Plain English, everywhere
33 terms explained in a sentence each, and tappable wherever they appear inside a guide. Meet a word you do not know, tap it, read the explanation, carry on.
The 117 entry summaries were rewritten to sit at about a grade 8 reading level, and a test in the build keeps them there. Nobody should need a chemistry degree to read about their own kitchen.
Swaps that fit real life
208 practical swaps, each with what it replaces, what to use instead, why it matters and a simple rule you can remember in the shop. Browse by category, by cost, by what suits a family, or by the situation you are in.
Every swap is hedged honestly. No swap here promises a health outcome, and none of them asks you to throw out something you already own before it wears out.
The shopping list
181 items across nine aisles, each on its own card with what to buy and why. Search it in the shop, tick things off as you sort them, and fold away the aisles you have finished.
Print it, or hand it to the system share sheet as a PDF. Store mode keeps the screen awake so it does not lock mid-aisle. Everything you tick is stored on the phone and nowhere else.
A routine you set, at your pace
Pick the swaps you actually want to make and give yourself 7, 21 or 30 days. Tick them off as they happen.
There are no scores here, no streaks, no levels and no badges. Progress counts plain things: tips completed, swaps saved, guides read, categories opened. A number that only goes up reads as a score, so there is not one.
Painted, not generic
Every section, product category, chemical, material, label and body page carries its own artwork. So do the navigation bar, the evidence marks and the arrows. It is one consistent hand rather than a stock icon set.
Long-press any painted icon in the app to see it large, with its name underneath.
Made to suit your eyes
Six themes: the default sage, a forest green, a warm tobacco and cream, a dark mode, a midnight blue and a high-contrast setting that pushes every accent to an accessible ratio.
Four text sizes on top of whatever the phone is already set to. Both are on the first screen you see, and in Settings after that.
This website carries the same six palettes. The control beside "Try the App" at the top of the page switches between them, so you can see how each one reads before you download anything. Your choice is remembered on this device, and nowhere else.
Private, and literally offline
No account, no login, no sign-up. Micro Detox never asks for health information: no pregnancy, no fertility, no symptoms, no profile.
The app makes no network request at all. The content is bundled, and as of this version the fonts are too, so "nothing leaves your device" is a description of the code rather than a promise about it. What you tick, save and read stays on the phone.
